David Ross, Principle
As a principle of Spartan Services Mr. Ross is responsible for coordination of land purchases, land planning, city approvals, awarding of construction bids, management of land development, property management services, residential real estate services and investment consulting. Under his guidance, Spartan Services has created some of Houston's most well know developments from all along the social-economic scale including, Provident Oaks, Williamschase, Westborough Park and Canyon Crossing.
Prior to founding Spartan Services, David enjoyed success with his home mortgage expertise with various different companies. For Summit Mortgage he became the highest dollar producer for three consecutive years (1993, 1994, and 1995) and the lender of record for one of Houston's top homebuilders. Mr. Ross was appointed President of Concord Residential Builders, where he doubled the company's size in each of his two years as President and established a controlled business arrangement Mortgage Brokerage. While at Mercantile Mortgage Company, as a loan officer, he originated over 100 loans a year for 4 years to finish in the top five of loan production in the United States.
Early on in David's career he found himself gaining experience and delivering value in all aspects of the real estate and building industry. With Genex Homes, he was originally brought on to purchase subdivision building sites, however he rapidly made his way through the ranks to Project Manager, Division Manager and finally Vice President. In those capacities Mr. Ross managed home production, sales and marketing along with originating and overseeing Genex's mortgage, surveying and advertising companies. He later founded West Pac Development, which he operated as a separate entity partnership of Genex Homes.
Mr. Ross's first taste of ownership came with the founding of Magnum Homes, Inc. and Magnum Homes of Waco. His partner managed the Houston office while David managed the Waco office where he became the largest builder in the Heart of Texas Builders Association, and his subsidiary Astor Development developed the first VA and FHA subdivisions in Waco in Seventeen years.
Prior to ownership of Magnum Homes Mr. Ross held a Project Manager position over all sales and construction for Trendmaker Homes, Inc. where he excelled in creating open communication lines between Sales, Construction and Management. He also held a sales management position with Raldon Housing Corp. where he created the first sales and construction mediation forum, which was unparalleled at the time.
A Houstonian since his teenage years, Mr. Ross is a native of Austin and holds a bachelors degree from the University of Texas. He has been chosen to be a Deacon of Second Baptist Church, an honor bestowed only on those to be 'of good report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom'.
